SEW-EURODRIVE is a global designer and developer of mechanical power
transmission systems and motor control electronics. As a key supplier to
the Australian mining industry, we believe in quality and efficiency when
it comes to drive technology. Supplying a range of industrial gear units,
motors and drives for especially large movements, we deliver more than just
products to heavy industry. A team of talented engineers develop effective
and timely solutions based on customers’ motion requirements, which are
backed by after-sales commissioning & product support that is second to
none. We also understand that time is money, so units are delivered within a
matter of weeks from our local assembly plants, rather than waiting months
for items to be shipped from overseas. The Australian division of SEW-
EURODRIVE is headquartered in Melbourne and is supported by a network
of offices in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western
SEW-EURODRIVE provides packaged drive solutions for a range of industries,
including food and beverage, shipping, ports, and of course, the mining industry.
The company covers a broad spectrum of power transmission equipment,
including energy efficient electric motors, geared motors, variable speed
drives, frequency inverters, servo technology, decentralised technology and
heavy industrial gears used in the mining sector.
SEW-EURODRIVE has introduced the segmented girth gear solution for
transmitting energy in large, rotating systems to its range of Heavy Industrial
Solutions. SEW can produce segmented girth gears with a pitch diameter up
to 16m and a width up to 600mm. Due to the segmented design principles,
even larger diameters and widths are possible. The power range reaches
up to 2500 kW per pinion. The use of special ADI cast material means that
SEW-EURODRIVE girth gears have industry-leading material properties
providing minimal wear. This enables SEW to offer a smaller tooth width than
competing technologies, allowing customers to save on the overall system.
SEW-EURODRIVE provides customer-specific solutions within its existing
product range, delivering not only segmented girth gears, but the entire drive
package. Girth gears are used to drive grinding mills, kilns and rotary dryers.
Available worldwide, you can reach SEW-EURODRIVE just about anywhere
around the globe.
