POSIRED 2 Parallel Shaft and Right Angle Gearboxes:
In this product range the demand for a gear program rich in variants but
with a minimum number of parts has been fulfilled. A high degree of
standardisation and consistent modularity ensures availability with short
delivery time. A large number of standard options with a great variety of
versions guarantee optimal adaptation in almost all areas of mechanical and
An extensive range of accessories increases the adaptation capacity of this
gear to various requirements. As a standard, fans, cooling coil, external oil
cooler, heating rods, torque supports, engine consoles, sub-constructions
and operation monitoring systems are available.

POSIRED N Parallel axis Lifting gear with large axle bases:
Lifting gears in which the cable drum and driving motor are arranged in
parallel require a step-down gear with a correspondingly large axle base.
The lifting gear gears in the POSIRED N series are designed for this
application and ideally bridge the given distance between the motor and
cable drum. The development of this series was based on widespread
experience in crane engineering. The demands of this branch were largely
taken into account in this gear concept. The accessories needed for this
application such as elastic clutches, barrel clutches, brakes, substructures,
etc. are available and can be supplied with the gear.

POSIRED D Right Angle Gearboxes:
This universal and compact gear motor is based on a modular system
with high output torque with a monobloc housing integrating a motor
bell housing. A large number of variants are available for each size. The
opportunity to mount brake motor makes this gearmotor most suited
for traverse movements in cranes or other large mobile applications.

POSIRED TS Double Shaft Gear
Fields of application for this series of gear are rolling mills, profiling plants,
crushers, double-shaft mixers, kneaders, compactors and presses. These
systems require two contra-rotating drives, such as is provided by the
Posired TS gear. The various designs, installation possibilities and optional
accessories of the basic range of POSIRED 2 gears can also be used for the
double shaft gear POSIRED TS.
Technical Data: Torque (T2max): up to 110.000 Nm Transmission Ratio: up to
140 iN Centre distance (a): up to 656 mm Planetary Gear Units.
Foot mounted planetary gears:
These gearboxes are designed with mounting feet, which are integrated
into the gearbox housing. This means that Brevini’s range of in-line and
right angle gearboxes offer advantages in terms of high levels of operating
stiffness and rigidity. The use of tapered roller bearings in the construction
of these compact high-efficiency gearbox units adds to their robust
performances by allowing axial and side loads to be tolerated on their
keyed cylindrical output shafts. The provision for foot mounting means that
this range is particularly suitable for industrial applications. This suitability is
enhanced by a side-range of accessories, including adaptors for electric and
hydraulic motors. Integral (cast) foot-mounted up to 20,000 lb. - ft. Fabricated
feet up to 230,000 lb.- ft.
Shaft mounted planetary gears:
In applications where it is necessary to ensure proper alignment between
a gearbox and a driven shaft, Brevini’s in-line and right angle shaft
mounted planetary gearboxes provide the ideal solution. The ability of
the compact and efficient shaft mounted gearboxes, not only to provide
alignment between shafts, but also their flexibility of use and the fact
that no machining is required to mount them to frames, are all major
factors in their widespread use across all industry sectors. Complementing
these user benefits is the flexibility offered by two different types of shaft
configurations: hollow shaft for shrink disc connection or keyed cylindrical
female shaft (FP type).
Flange mounted planetary gears:
Brevini’s in-line or right angle planetary gearboxes can be used in a wide
range of industrial equipment and mobile applications. They are based
upon a flexible modular system and are available with either male or female
output shaft configurations. The male configuration (cylindrical or splined)
is used where side or axial loads are acting upon the output shaft. The
female configuration is used to transmit purely torque and is employed
where space is limited. The flange mounted gearboxes are supported by a
wide range of accessories. These include: adaptors for electric and hydraulic
motors, multidisc failsafe brakes and male input shaft configurations.
Planetary gears for slewing drives:
Brevini’s slewing drives are an essential component in keeping weight and
size to a minimum on equipment such as tower cranes, wind turbines, aerial
platforms, discharge booms and excavation and construction equipment.
